Beer Scouts cook up an amazing Desert

After winning the Devon Country Scout cooking competition the team from Beer Scout Group headed once again up to Cheltenham for the South West Regional Cooking completion.

This year the theme was made in Britain so the teams menu was:

Starter – Haggis on a bed of mashed potato topped with a poached egg.

Main – Locally caught Whiting pan fried, served on a potato rostie, with peas.

Desert – homemade vanilla cheesecake served with strawberries.

The team this year was a very young one, two of the members had only just come up from Cubs. The team comprised of TL Emma Burley, Kendal Westlake, Lexie, Dack and Teganne Moore.

The team had an amazing success coming second out of 14 teams and also winning best desert. Which even as their leader I have to say was yummy.

A big well done to the team for all the hard work and dedication that was put in.
